Location. The Best Western Hotel Orchidee is located in Aalter, Belgium, one kilometre from Aalter railway station. The city of Bruges is 15 kilometres to the north, and Ghent is 30 kilometres south. Driving Directions
From Brussels Airport (BRU): Distance to Best Western Hotel Orchidee is 80 kilometres, approximately 60 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The airport's railway station is located below the terminal building on the basement level, and is accessible by elevator. Airport City Express trains leave every 10 30 minutes between 5 a.m. and midnight, and travel to the city's three main stations. Single fares cost 2.60 EUR. Trains run between Brussels Midi station and Aalter every 30 minutes. The journey takes just over an hour. Metered taxis can be found in front of the Arrivals hall; licensed cabs have a blue and yellow emblem. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Cycling and walking are ideal ways to explore Bruges. A reliable and cheap bus service is available, as well as boat and horse drawn carriage trips. Cars and coaches cannot be driven in the town centre.
Driving directions. From the airport take the ring road around Brussels following signs for the E40 in the direction of Ostend. Exit for Aalter.
